Madonna opened a GYM at Mexico City club yesterday and even held the first dance class for 20 select members to the tunes of DJ Paul Oakenfold who opened her last tour.
Madonna said at the opening that she chose the country because she loves its culture, food, art and architecture.
As for the GYM name Hard Candy, “It’s a sexy name that gives you the opportunity to have fun and to build strength as far as the imagination will allow” says Madonna.Membership will set you back about $160 a month excluding the once-off $830 joining fee. At this premium price, members are treated to state-of-the-art equipment in zen inspired surroundings. “If any of you have seen my shows, you know that I don’t skip on them and the same is true for the gym,” said the star. “We spend what it takes to make a globally first-class gym.”
